How to interpret Step 3 — Market Entry Strategy
Step 3 converts the opportunity validated in Step 2 into company-specific strategic and commercial decisions across Position → Enter → Go-to-Market → Execute. This section is Market Entry Strategy (Position).
Market Entry Position vs Route to Customers
- Market Entry Position — the level/form of local commitment (Export & Distribution → Local Sales Office → Warehousing → Distribution Centre → Local Manufacturing). Shown here.
- Route to Customers — Distributor / Hybrid / Agent / Direct — is determined by Channel Evaluation and belongs to Section 2. It is deliberately kept separate here.
Evidence discipline
- A Market Entry Position is recommended only where confirmed Strategic Positioning evidence exists. Otherwise the market shows ENTRY STRATEGY INPUT REQUIRED — it is not inferred from a readiness score alone.
- Positioning-dependent content shows POSITIONING INPUT REQUIRED where the Strategic Positioning / SWOT assessment is not yet completed.
- Export Readiness and Market Entry Risk still display wherever their certified assessment evidence exists.
Entry-model pathway
The five models are an internationalization / local-commitment pathway, not a maturity ranking. Deeper local presence is a future strategic decision, taken only when validated economics justify it — not a year-1 default.
